AW ELECTRIC WALL OVEN RECALL

At ZLINE Kitchen and Bath, our top priority has been (and always will be) ensuring the safety of you and your family.

ZLINE has become aware that over time, the door hinges of certain first-generation electric wall ovens may weaken, potentially causing them to break and release the spring responsible for proper operation.

Because of this, we are choosing to conduct an immediate voluntary product safety recall in partnership with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

This voluntary product safety recall only applies to certain manufacturing dates for the following single and double electric wall oven models with an “AW” identifier (see below).

AWS-30, AWD-30, AWS-30-BS, AWD-30-BS, AWSS-30, AWDS-30
If you own a ZLINE Single Wall Oven or ZLINE Double Wall Oven, check the manufacturing date to see whether your oven(s) is included in this voluntary recall. The date can be found by opening the oven door and reading the rating label that is affixed on the top right corner of the oven cavity. Affected manufacturing dates are between November 2020 – December 2021.

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE RECALL?

ZLINE has become aware that over time, the door hinges of the certain first-generation wall ovens may weaken, potentially causing them to break and release the spring responsible for the proper operation of the oven door. If the door hinges break, the hinge spring and its retaining bar may break through the top part trim of the door, potentially exiting the oven door and striking a nearby person.

WHAT MODELS ARE BEING RECALLED?

Certain manufacturing dates for the following models with an “AW” identifier are part of this recall: AWS-30, AWD-30, AWS-30-BS, AWD-30-BS, AWSS-30, AWDS-30. Single and Double Electric Wall Oven Doors are both being recalled. You must check the manufacturing date.
Are any Autograph Edition Wall Ovens Affected By This Recall (Single or Double)?
No. All Autograph Edition models were manufactured after February 2022 and therefore are not affected by this voluntary recall.
HOW CAN I TELL IF MY PRODUCT IS RECALLED?
Models which begin with the letters “AW” and were manufactured between November 2020 and December 2021 ARE included in this recall. The model manufacturing date is printed on a label found on the inside of the door (see image below).

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You should immediately stop using the oven until you verify whether your oven is included in this recall. 

Only certain manufacturing dates are included in this recall. Models which begin with the letters “AW” and were manufactured between November 2020 and December 2021 ARE included in this recall.

The model manufacturing date is printed on a label found on the inside of the door (see image below).

Models which begin with the letters “AW” manufactured on or after January 2022 are NOT included.
Register for replacement doors at THIS LINK if your door is affected.

No. There are no costs associated with this recall that you are responsible to pay.

We recognize that the temporary loss of use of your oven compartment is a substantial inconvenience to you and we sincerely apologize. Replacement doors are shipping within 7 days of registration.

The firm has received 0 reports of injuries.

I ALREADY REPLACED THIS PRODUCT AND I WANT A REFUND.

We are glad that you no longer have the product and, therefore, that it no longer presents a risk to you or your family. This is the most important part of the recall.

ZLINE is exclusively offering repairs to those consumers with possession of the product in order to address the risk present in homes.
