ZLINE Supports the 46th Annual Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows Cioppino Feed & Auction

For nearly five decades, the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows has gathered the Northern Nevada community around a table that runs as deep as the cioppino broth itself.

This year marked the 46th Annual Jack T. Reviglio Cioppino Feed & Auction, held during a milestone season as the Club celebrates 50 years of impact in Northern Nevada. ZLINE was honored to take part in this longstanding community tradition once again, donating a custom appliance package to the live auction in support of local youth.

A Tradition Rooted in Community

In 1981, Jack Reviglio started the Cioppino feed after deciding the Club needed a signature dish to anchor its annual fundraiser. He called on Bud Sorensen, known for his cioppino, and asked him to prepare it that very weekend. Bud gathered his friends and sourced nearly every available seafood ingredient in Reno, creating what would become a Northern Nevada tradition.

Over the years, the event quickly grew, doubling in size and outgrowing the Club’s original kitchen. In 2004, a major expansion funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation made way for a commercial-grade kitchen—a space built for Cioppino, and one that now serves the Club’s youth year-round.

Today, the Cioppino Feed remains the Club’s signature fundraiser, generating nearly 12% of its annual budget and supporting thousands of local children across the Truckee Meadows.

ZLINE’s Continued Commitment

For the past several years, ZLINE has proudly supported this event, donating everything from professional knife sets to full kitchen packages to help drive auction momentum.

This year, we elevated our contribution with a custom ZLINE kitchen package, thoughtfully curated for the live auction. The package sold for $13,500, becoming one of more than 450 live and mobile auction items that collectively raised critical funding for the Club’s programs.

More Than a Fundraiser

Back again this year to help prepare the Italian-inspired feast was executive board member and Roundabout Catering owner, Chef Colin Smith, ensuring that the culinary tradition remains as strong as ever.

Beyond the incredible food and spirited live auction, the true impact of the evening lies in its purpose. Every bid placed, every bowl served, and every donation made supports programs that provide safe spaces, mentorship, and opportunity for young people across Northern Nevada. As the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrates 50 years, we are grateful to stand alongside them.
