Four Courses, One Community:
ZLINE's Summer on Northern Nevada Fairways

Different causes, different courses, same reason for showing up. These are the organizations that shape our local community: the nonprofits that keep kids busy after the last bell, the mentors who show up week after week, the builders framing the houses going up around us. A scramble format and a boxed lunch turn out to be a reasonable way to spend a day supporting all three. Here is how some of ZLINE’s team members spent the summer giving back.

June 12 | Genoa Lakes Golf Club

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada Golf Classic reached its 16th year this June, and the format is part of what makes it special: every hole is handed to a different community partner to run, turning a round of golf into something closer to a carnival with a scorecard. Over 16 years, the Classic has raised close to $800,000 for the Clubs.

ZLINE shared a sponsor hole outfitted with a golf cannon. For a donation, any player could load up and launch their ball down a stunning par 5. Every shot fired went straight back to the Clubs, which run before- and after-school programs, preschool, teen programming and summer camp across Carson City and Carson Valley.

June 22 | Lakeridge Golf Course

Ten days later, we were at Lakeridge in Reno for the Tom Duncan Century Club Golf Tournament, presented by the Duncan family. The name carries weight across the Sierra: Tom Duncan coached Nevada men's golf from 1994 to 2004, took the program to a national ranking, and spent decades afterward working to keep golf affordable and accessible across Northern Nevada.

The tournament continues the legacy by supporting Wolf Pack student-athletes. Lakeridge in late June, with the whole basin laid out below the 15th tee, is a picturesque place to be reminded why people love Northern Nevada.

June 26 | Red Hawk Golf & Resort

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada filled both Red Hawk courses in Sparks for a 10 a.m. shotgun start, with on-course contests, a silent auction, and a raffle running all afternoon. This tournament helps fund one-to-one matches between adult volunteers and local kids—Bigs and Littles—and the professional staff support that keeps those relationships steady over several years.

Something to look forward to

We'll be back with BBBSNN before the year is out. ZLINE is donating to and attending the organization's 25th Anniversary Big Chefs Big Gala in September for an evening made more meaningful by who's being honored: Chef Mark Estee, a longtime ZLINE collaborator and ambassador, who is a co-recipient of the 2026 Osborne Community Hero Award.

July 10 | Lakeridge Golf Course

ZLINE returned to Lakeridge in July for the Builders Association of Northern Nevada tournament, the largest of the summer for our crew, and the one where the conversations between shots matter most.

Chartered in 1956 and affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders, the Builders Association is the largest construction trade association in the state, representing roughly 500 member companies. It aims to improve the home-building climate here, which it names plainly as a matter of housing attainability. A ZLINE product usually enters someone's life through a builder or a designer, whether in a kitchen being framed somewhere off Pyramid Highway or up in Damonte Ranch. Spending a day with the people making those calls is time well spent.

ZLINE is a proud Northern Nevada-based company. Our team lives in Reno, Carson City, and the valleys in between, and our children go to these schools and are served by these nonprofits. Sponsoring a hole is a small thing. Doing it four times in one summer, for four organizations doing very different work in the same community, adds up to something much more meaningful.

To the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, the Century Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, and the Builders Association—thank you for the invitations. We will see you next year, for another summer of golf.
