ZLINE Supports Youth Education Through Urban Roots Donation
At ZLINE Kitchen and Bath, our values are rooted in a steadfast commitment to philanthropy and community involvement. We’re pleased to continue those efforts in Northern Nevada by donating a full suite of appliances to Urban Roots, a Reno nonprofit striving to improve how communities eat and learn through garden-based education.
Founded in 2009, the nonprofit’s mission is to ensure sustainability, curiosity, community engagement, equity, inclusion, and growth are at the forefront of its all-ages programs.
Fifteen years later, Urban Roots can elevate that mission to new heights thanks to its brand-new education training kitchen that features a bevy of ZLINE products, highlighted by four high-grade cooking appliances:
- 30" Double Wall Oven in DuraSnow® Stainless Steel
- 36” Five Element Induction Cooktop
- 30” Built-In Stainless Steel Microwave Drawer
- 36” Stainless Steel Island Mount Range Hood
These professional products are not only meticulously designed to maximize space and enhance the capability of any kitchen, they provide a professional culinary experience by pairing unmatched performance with timeless style.
ZLINE also donated two 36” Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerators, which combine cutting-edge cooling technology with best-in-class freshness. Rounding out the kitchen suite are a 24” DuraSnow® Stainless Steel Triple Rack Tallac Dishwasher, an Apollo Kitchen Faucet in Brushed Nickel, and a 33” Garmisch Undermount Stainless Steel Sink.
Steeped in elegance and durability, ZLINE’s premier lines of sinks, kitchen faucets, and dishwashers feature refined attention to detail and stunning craftsmanship, all while ensuring energy savings and water efficiency are top of mind.
Thanks to the full ZLINE suite, the teaching kitchen affords Urban Roots staff and volunteers the incredible opportunity to prepare and cook food grown straight from the nonprofit’s expansive teaching farm — giving new meaning to the concept of seed-to-kitchen cooking.
The donation truly was a collaborative community effort due to the hard-working team at BlueJacket Enterprises, who installed the full appliance suite free of charge, ensuring Urban Roots staff can spend more time on education and less on expenses.
BlueJacket’s mission is to drive excellence during the most delicate and important phase of the customer experience: delivering, installing, and carefully setting up appliances and furnishings at housing developments and commercial projects.
This spring, ZLINE partnered with BlueJacket, which schedules and completes jobs within 72 hours and has dedicated warehouse space specifically for ZLINE products.
ZLINE couldn’t be more excited to align with BlueJacket, which has a strong presence throughout several Western states and is always looking for additional partners in the Northern Nevada area to make projects like Urban Roots’ teaching kitchen a reality.
With ZLINE, luxury is not meant to be desired, it’s meant to be attainable.
